It’s that weird time of year where we’re hoping for spring but still freezing cold… We have more snow outside right now than i’ve seen in years, so it’s definitely not too late in the season for this Bobble Mittens crochet pattern! They’re so fun and super cute, bobbles just cheer up everything don’t they?
Made in aran yarn they’re cozy but not chunky, and means there’s lots more yarn options you can use.
I personally love the toastiness of a full mitten but I know you love a fingerless version too because they’re some of my best sellers. So i’ve written this pattern with an option for fingerless mitts too, like in the photo below.

What you’ll need
<70g of aran weight yarn for base colour
<20g of aran or DK yarn for bobbles
4.5mm hook
Scissors and needle for finishing
I used James C Brett Aztec aran for the grey, which is a lovely snuggly alpaca mix yarn with a fluffy, fuzzy texture. The black was leftovers in my stash.
For the green fingerless mittens I went for Paintbox Simply Aran in racing green and used a mixture of stash colours for the bobbles that I had left from my temperature blanket!
Concentration Level
The bobble mittens crochet pattern is beginner friendly and uses simple stitches that look beautiful together! There is some counting involved for the bobble placement, but there are minimal decreases. These work up really quickly too!
