Forget Me Not Crochet Face Cloth Pattern

Combining two of my favourite things, crochet and skincare regimes, with a crochet face cloth pattern! What’s not to love?

I think we can all do a little more to make our every day activities more sustainable and eco friendly, and your skincare doesn’t have to be an exception. Making your own face cloths and face pads can replace the use of disposable face wipes and make up pads, as well as looking cute in your bathroom!

Crochet face cloth pattern

This really is perfect for a beginner crocheter as it’s brilliant for practising stitches and tension, it doesn’t matter if you mess up the stitch count or it all goes a bit wonky because it doesn’t have to fit anyone. In this pattern we’re going to use the lemon peel stitch, which is to alternate single and double crochet in every stitch. It provides a great texture perfect for a face cloth.

Row 1 – Start by chaining 43, then work a double crochet (DC) in the 3rd chain from the hook. Follow with a single crochet (SC) in the next, and alternate DC and SC until the end of the row, finishing on a SC with a stitch count of 40.

Row 2 – CH2, work 1 DC in the first stitch (which will be a SC from the previous row) and 1 SC in the next (the DC from the previous row) and continue until the end of the row as per Row 1.

Repeat row 2 for a further 20 rows, totalling 22 rows of an alternating DC and SC maintaining a stitch count of 40. Simple!
