Granny Stripe Scarf Pattern

What you’ll need for the granny stitch scarf

  • 375g / 614 yards aran/worsted acrylic yarn
  • 6.0mm/J hook
  • Scissors and needle for finishing
  • To replicate the 3 colour blocks you will need:
  • 200g / 328 yards of colour A
  • 100g / 164 yards of colour B
  • 75g / 122 yards of colour C

Special Stitches

Dc3tog

  • Yarn over, pull up a loop from the next stitch

With colour A

Row 1: ch42, dc in the 3rd ch from hook, dc, *3dc, sk2*, repeat * until you have 2 sts remaining, dc2, turn

Row 2: ch2, dc2, *ch2, dc3tog*, repeat * until you have 2 sts remaining, ch2, dc2, turn

Row 3: ch2, dc, sk1, dc3 in the ch2 sp from the prev row, and every other ch2 sp until the end, sk1, dc, turn

Row 4: ch2, dc, ch1, dc3tog, *ch2, dc3tog* repeat * until you have 1 st remaining, ch1, dc, turn

Row 5: ch2, dc in the next dc, dc in the ch1 sp, dc3 in each ch2 sp to the end, dc in the ch1 sp, dc in the last dc, turn

Row 6: ch2, dc2, *ch2, dc3tog*, repeat * until you have 2 sts remaining, ch2, dc2, turn

Row 7: Repeat Row 3

Row 8: Repeat Row 4

Change to colour B

Rows 9 to 16: Repeat Rows 4 to 7

Change to colour A

Rows 17 to 24: Repeat Rows 4 to 7

Change to colour C

Rows 25 to 32: Repeats Row 4 to 7

Continue in this way, working colour change {A B A C} until you have 120 rows in total or the length of your choice.
