The Violet Beanie is a chunky crochet hat pattern using one 100g skein or less (even for the large adult size), and is extra cosy and extra quick to make. In sizes from newborn to adult you can make one for any family member, making a great gift idea, even for those last minute makes!
It’s a beginner friendly crochet pattern, using just variations of the single and double crochet stitches. This post is the free pattern for adult size medium.
I love mine with faux fur pom poms, but they look great with DIY yarn poms or kept plain and simple without.
