After designing an upcoming baby blanket pattern using hdc3tog a crochet stitch tutorial had to accompany it! It’s a relatively uncommon stitch, but gives such a lovely effect in this blanket. The hdc3tog is worked over 3 stitches to make just one stitch, and can be used as a a single stitch in blankets or even garments. It can also be used as a decrease stitch with some adjustments.
The hdc3tog stitch has a nice texture, is quite thick and squishy, but the ch1 spaces keep it from being too heavy. It isn’t as much of a yarn eater as I expected either!
