I’m excited to share with you a new crochet colour block top pattern that I’ve been working on – the Garnet Top!
It’s a light, loose, cropped t-shirt designed to be easy to wear and comfortable. It features a ribbed texture and clean colour blocks, giving it a classic look that pairs well with just about anything.
The Garnet Top comes in sizes XS to 5X, so that everyone can enjoy making and wearing this piece. Plus, it’s quick to make, making it a great last-minute addition to your summer wardrobe. It is designed with just a little positive ease, giving a bit of extra room so that it can hang and drape nicely, but not so much that it’s oversized.
The pattern is largely simple, but will require foundation chain stitches / increasing / decreasing around the neckline, as well as some careful colour changing.
I used Scheepjes Stone Washed, which is ideal for casual summer tops like this! Any similar cotton-based yarn will work perfectly.
