Welcome to the Christmas Bauble Garland crochet pattern! This is part 1 of the festive garland series of tutorials that will be up on the blog, and in my opinion the simplest for beginners. You can find the rest of the beginner Christmas garland patterns here.
It’s made up primarily of one stitch, and works up really quickly as the cutest garland for a Christmas decoration you can make yourself for your home. It would also make a sweet gift, and works individually as a Christmas tree crochet decoration as individual baubles.

I’ve used a range of DK yarn from Aldi (THE biggest bargain!), a 3.5mm hook and a needle for sewing in ends.
Stitches are in US terms, DC is double crochet, SC is single crochet, SS is slip stitch.
Stitch count is in brackets at the end of each row.
Christmas Crochet Bauble Pattern
Row 1 – make a magic ring, work 6 DC in the ring. SS to join (6)
Row 2 – CH2, work 2 DC in every stitch around. SS to join (12)
Row 3 – CH2, work 2 DC in every stitch around. SS to join (24)
Row 4 – CH2, work 2 DC in every stitch around. SS to join (48)
Row 5 – Keeping the final loop on your hook, pull up a 2nd loop. With 2 loops on the hook, pull through your new yarn to use for the topper and CH3. Work 1 DC in the next 2 stitches (3)
Row 6 – CH1, work 1 SC in the 3 stitches on the row (3)
Close off, leaving a tail of around 10cm. Weave in ends.
I hope that helps some of you trying to get inspired for the festive season, let me know on Instagram? Remember you can find the other beginner crochet patterns in the garland set here, and pin for later!
